Frequently Asked Questions

DrumZombie FAQ

Answers about the music, the process, and what SOTA Music Standard means for DrumZombie releases.

Is AI used in DrumZombie music?

Yes. Generative AI tools are part of the production process across songwriting, arrangement, instrumentation, vocal development, and visual creation. The specific tools used on each release are documented in the Behind the Track section of every track page.

How does AI fit into the process?

As a creative instrument, not an autopilot. Ideas get generated, evaluated, and mostly discarded. The ones that survive do so because a person decided they were worth keeping. Every release is shaped by human artistic direction, production judgment, and quality control. Many tracks also include live performed instrumentation layered directly into the production.

What does SOTA Music Standard mean?

SOTA Music Standard documents a human-directed creative process built on original direction, performance, production judgment, transparent workflow, and advanced creative tools. It is not a claim that AI was avoided. It is a commitment to craft, transparency, and intentional creation. The full SOTA statement lives at the link below.

Where can I see the process in action?

Every DrumZombie track page includes a Behind the Track section that documents the full build chain for that release, from origin through distribution.
